On November 26, 2016, the brand-new Marketplace Literacy learning center in Argentina celebrated its partial inauguration with an initial first cohort of students. Based in Mendoza, this is the Subsistence Marketplace Initiative’s southernmost learning center — and possibly the southernmost satellite of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s College of Business. The new facilities will allow our Argentine colleagues to take the program to the next level.
Below are a few images of the new center under construction. Our colleagues Francisco Seufferheld and Jeannine Koninckx Horta handled a considerable amount of the building’s development themselves.
